چکیده
Study objectiveMüllerian (paramesonephric) duct anomalies (MDAs) are associated with several coexisting congenital abnormalities, including renal abnormalities. Although abnormalities may remain asymptomatic, the consequences should not be underestimated. In both literature and clinical practice, it remains necessary to improve awareness of co-occurrence different in women MDAs. To gain further insight into this estimate whether guidelines for MDAs optimized, study was performed.DesignA descriptive retrospective analysis.SettingUniversity Medical Centre Utrecht Netherlands.ParticipantsWomen diagnosed or treated between 1980 2015.InterventionsNone.Main outcome measuresThe prevalence MDAs.ResultsRenal status recorded 186 255 (72.9%), other (27.1%) did have a retrievable status. Association of Fetal and Parental Chromosomal Abnormalities with Congenital Anomalies
Background & Aims: Chromosome abnormalities are a major cause of miscarriage and neonatal mortality. The present study aimed to determine the association of fetal and parents chromosomal abnormalities with congenital anomalies. Methods: A cross-sectional study was performed in a tertiary referral center (Afzalipour Hospital) over 16 months period (2011-2012). The study groups consisted of 77 fe...
متن کاملImaging of müllerian duct anomalies.
The müllerian ducts are paired embryologic structures that undergo fusion and resorption in utero to give rise to the uterus, fallopian tubes, cervix, and upper two-thirds of the vagina. Interruption of normal development of the müllerian ducts can result in formation of müllerian duct anomalies (MDAs). MDAs are a broad and complex spectrum of abnormalities that are often associated with primar...
متن کاملReproductive impact of congenital Müllerian anomalies.
This retrospective longitudinal study was undertaken in order to determine the incidence and reproductive impact of uterine malformations on women desiring to conceive during their reproductive years. A total of 3181 patients in whom the morphology of the uterus was ascertained by hysterosalpingography (HSG) and laparoscopy/laparotomy during the years 1980-1995 was included in the study. The po...
متن کاملMURCS (Müllerian duct aplasia–renal agenesis–cervicothoracic somite dysplasia): a rare cause of primary amenorrhoea
The agenesis of the Müllerian duct is the second most common cause of primary amenorrhoea after Turner syndrome. The abnormal development of Müllerian duct often associates with the urinary tract and skeletal abnormalities. MURCS (Müllerian duct aplasia-renal agenesis-cervicothoracic somite dysplasia) association is a unique and rare developmental disorder with four common features of uterine h...
متن کاملAssociation of citalopram with congenital anomalies: A meta-analysis
OBJECTIVE The antenatal use of citalopram, a widely prescribed selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor, has been suspected to be associated with congenital, particularly cardiac, anomalies. This study aimed to prove the association between citalopram use and congenital anomalies. METHODS We searched the English literature from July 1998 to July 2015, by using the search terms ' citalopram', ' ...
